About Sam Cleaver

Sam Cleaver represents California employees in all aspects of employment law including, wrongful termination, discrimination and unpaid wages. Mr. Cleaver has tried multiple cases to verdict in state and federal court. Most recently he won a $6 million plus verdict on behalf of a group of employees forced to undergo off the clock security checks before leaving work for meal periods. Mr. Cleaver has also secured multiple seven figure and high six figure settlements in class actions and on behalf of individual clients.

Prior to founding his law firm, Mr. Cleaver worked at a top ranked management side employment defense firm and spent time as an in-house attorney at a Fortune 500 company. These experiences have provided Mr. Cleaver with valuable insight into the way employers approach employee counseling, discipline and litigation. Mr. Cleaver is uniquely positioned to level the playing field for employees because he understands the employer’s likely goals and legal strategy and uses that knowledge to achieve outstanding results for his clients.

Mr. Cleaver believes in getting to know his clients individually so that he can best understand each client’s goals whether it is to get a job back, protect other worker, or secure the maximum compensation for the harm the client has suffered.

Mr. Cleaver graduated from the University of Southern California Law School in 2006. Before attending law school, Mr. Cleaver worked as an ESL teacher in the Los Angeles County Unified School District. Mr. Cleaver has been voted a Super Lawyer by his peers in 2018 and 2019.
